Dr. WoernerAbout Dr. Woerner

Marie Woerner PT, DPT, WCS, CLT graduated from the Texas Tech Health Science Center with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. After graduating she took the advice of many experienced mentors and practiced at a busy outpatient orthopedic clinic here in Fort Worth, TX. There she had the opportunity to treat  a variety of diagnosis from low back pain to turf toe. In addition to these diagnoses, many of her patients also included postoperative shoulders, knees, spine, and ankles, allowing her to develop her orthopedic manual skills and individualized practice style.

After several years treating orthopedic patients, Marie transitioned into Women’s and Men’s Health by completing an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved residency. During her residency she had the opportunity to mentor with top clinicians in the North Texas area. Upon completion of her residency, Marie was offered a clinical faculty position with the  University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center and began to develop the Pelvic Health Program for the University. During her time at UNT she was able to grow a thriving practice, as well as obtain her Board Certification in Women’s Health, making her one of the only Board Certified Specialists recognized by the APTA in Tarrant County. She also developed a strong interest in Functional Dry Needling and obtained her certification through Kineticore, where she was able to  learn from many outstanding clinicians. Marie has a passion for helping others, spreading the word about pelvic health, and strives to provide exceptional care to all her patients.

Marie is happily married with 4 children who she loves to spend time with.

Dr. SchedcikAbout Dr. Schedcik

Marissa Schedcik, PT, DPT, received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to graduate school, Marissa received her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. 

Marissa began taking interest in pelvic floor physical therapy during her time in undergrad when she worked as a PT technician in her home town. She was exposed to a wide population regarding pelvic floor dysfunction, including pregnant mothers, postpartum females, athletes, geriatrics, etc., and has been devoted to pelvic health ever since. 

Marissa has worked primarily in outpatient hospital-based settings, specializing in both male and female pelvic health. She is passionate about post-prostatectomy, pregnancy, pelvic pain and constipation. Marissa continues to further her discipline by attending specialized Women’s and Men’s Health continuing education courses to further develop her approach to treatment and optimize results for her patients.

Dr. SimsAbout Dr. Sims

Nikki Sims, PT, MPT, CHDN, graduated from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 1998 with her Masters of Physical Therapy degree. Nikki has practiced Physical Therapy in a variety of settings for over 25 years, which include pediatric, home health, acute hospital setting, and outpatient orthopedics bringing a broad spectrum of experience to her practice. Working with a variety of ages and stages of recovery has developed a passion for providing well rounded care to the patients to include education on nutrition and prevention in addition to the immediate intervention for their current injury.

Nikki is dry needling certified and uses that certification in her daily treatments to optimize patient outcomes. Nikki continues to further her education by attending specialized pelvic health continuing educational courses as well as nutritional courses to provide optimal and well rounded patient care.

About Dr. Fuller

Dr. Kelsey Fuller, PT, DPT, brings a rich foundation in outpatient orthopedics and elite sports from her initial practice in Frisco, Texas, to her current passion for pelvic floor and obstetric care. Specializing in assisting pregnant and postpartum mothers overcome pelvic floor dysfunction to resume their athletic pursuits, Dr. Fuller is dedicated to enhancing women’s health across the spectrum of exercise and sport. Her commitment to advancing her expertise is evidenced by her certification as an Obstetric Physical Therapist from the Academy of Pelvic Health. Furthermore, she has a keen interest in addressing female sexual dysfunction, continuously seeking out advanced training to refine her treatment methodologies. Dr. Fuller holds a certification as an Exercise Physiologist from the American College of Sports Medicine, underscoring her holistic approach to patient wellness and rehabilitation.

About Dr. Strickland

Dr. Elise Strickland, PT, DPT, hails from Chicago and has woven a diverse path through the physical therapy world since obtaining her doctorate from Midwestern University in 2012. Her journey took her from Arizona’s outpatient clinics, where she honed her manual therapy skills and embraced a holistic treatment philosophy, to the innovative programs at St. Joseph’s Hospital. There, she not only deepened her understanding of comprehensive patient care but also spearheaded initiatives to integrate physical therapy into emergency and obstetric care. Dr. Strickland’s venture into a holistic pediatric clinic in Arizona showcased her dedication to a multidisciplinary approach, blending yoga, massage, and functional nutrition to empower children to thrive. Certified in yoga with a specialization for children with disabilities, she passionately shares her expertise through baby-wearing strength classes. Now in Texas, her commitment to supporting women and infants shines through her work with newborns, driven by a personal mission to foster growth and wellness in families. Dr. Strickland enjoys life with her husband, also a physical therapist, and their three sons, embracing activities like baking, gardening, and exploring farmers’ markets.
